Hello, dragon bait.

So, I've about two weeks of my sophomore year of college left. Four more days of classes to attend, three finals to take, and then I'm done. What? I know right? The time has gone by so quickly. My grandmother used to tell me that as you get older time goes by quicker. Little me being all self-righteous and such would merely discount it as "You're just saying that because you're old, yadda yadda yadda." Well, she was right, I was wrong.

Aside from that, everything has been wrapping up. If you don't know me, I play for Chill, the University of Vermont's club ultimate frisbees team, and last weekend we went to Williamstown, MA for UPA Club Sectionals. Our varsity squad made it to regionals, which is awesome, and that's two weekends from now in Amherst, MA.

Whilst staying at the Berkshire Hills Motel (a cool little place run by this married couple), we ended up meeting the Mount Holyoke Golf Team, so we invited them up to our room and they hung out with us for a little while on that Saturday night. They were genuinely nice, and I'm glad they stopped by. Williamstown is an interesting place, though that seems to want me to hit all the fowl that live in it. On one occasion a turkey flew out of the forest towards my windshield, and marginally missed it. In lieu of that, it was great to see my passenger tweak out at the sight.

It seems to me that this year is getting better than it started, finally. January through March were pretty lackluster, but things are definitely on the up. March through early April was my period of misfortune, where I got gastroenteritis, then the cold, then gastroenteritis again, and then a black eye, then a subconjunctival hemorrhage in that eye for sleeping on the black eye and I then received gastroenteritis again last week, but not as bad that time as the former bouts. Jealous, I bet. Expunging them from my memory, thank you. But like I said, things are on the up and up, and I'm super stoked for the summer.

Looked at the apartment I'll be in for the summer, and I dig it. Basement is a little shoddy, but whatever. Not going to be using that a bunch. I haven't gotten a job yet, but I'm feverishly searching. Soon, hopefully soon. In the interim I wait. I'm also planning, if I have the time, play for one of the Burlington club ultimate teams, Double Dragon. If not, I'll just do summer league with GMDA. Either way, I'll be active and busy and in a good state of mind. Nothing sounds more appealing to me right now.

That and some sunshine. It snowed today. All day. It's still snowing. It's April 27th. Vermont, I hate you sometimes. It was 33 degrees today, but Saturday will be sunny and 83. Can you explain it, because I can't. Well, I can, but I don't want to because IT'S NOT SUPPOSED TO SNOW THIS MUCH IN APRIL.

Despite this minor setback, I am excited for the following week, even if I do have a presentation due on Friday, which I should probably get to finishing up. Luckily, that's the last thing I have to do this semester besides showing up to class and taking finals! But alas and alack, work calls. As they say in German: Arbeit zieht Arbeit nach sich. Work involves work.
